Production Notes

After the end of Workshop1, the groups were given a discussion session by Mr. Mustaq and their respective assigned assistants to help them in their concepts so that they are able to carry out their research properly. This session helped groups tremendously, clearing up any confusion and creating a clear picture of their films in their minds. Treatment and shot list were also finalized here. Each group is also allotted a mentor who will further be helpful in carrying out their pieces. Groups are welcomed anytime to have meetings with their volunteers or Mr. Mushtaq himself for any queries.

The Production period has started now. The groups were given their shooting schedules. Each group is allocated five days for shooting in which they are provided the basic kit, which includes 1 PD170, 2 charged batteries, collar mike or boom mike, tripod, reflector, 2 DV tapes and lights. A few groups needed the equipment outside of their normal production schedules. Also few extra arrangements of equipment (extra camera and other basic necessity of the kit) were provided on special request from groups considering the necessity of their production. The equipment is checked in daily during group’s five-day production period early in the morning and has to be returned at the end of their shoot. The assistants are keeping all groups in continuous contact to help them around and get information on their updates.
